Kate Rutter’s journey to floral fine art began simply as a love affair. Synchronicities kept drawing the flora into her life, until they placed themselves in the center as her personal healing practice and the medium through which she now creates art.
After earning a BFA at Kent State, Kate lived in the Pacific Northwest while working as a creative director, stylist, and artist. During this time she began an apprenticeship in floral design and learned the nuances of floristry. A desire for spiritual growth and healing drew Kate to utilize herbal medicines, flower essences, and the subtle healing energies of the natural world which led her to acknowledge her intuitive gifts.
Today, these gifts drive her proprietary approach to floral design through which she intuitively channels flowers and crafts divinely-inspired and energetically powerful floral arrangements for her clients.
Upon her return to Northeast Ohio and the birth of her son, the flora again became an integral part of Kate’s life and profession.
Kate engages with the flowers as a means to soften her heart and express herself creatively. She has found a deep well of resilience from within that forms the foundation from which she mothers and offers her services as a fine-art florist and floral healer.
